Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) has been practiced for thousands of years. It differs from Western Veterinary Medicine in that it’s focus is diagnosing and treating patients as a whole versus singling out individual organ systems.
With TCVM, the belief is that disease occurs because of imbalance in the body. The goals of TCVM is to rebalance the body and in doing so, treat the patient and eliminate disease. This can be accomplished with acupuncture, herbal therapy and food therapy.
